Rock County maps have been approved and finalized. In April 2022, Genia will be running for reelection to serve as County Board Supervisor for District 13 (the west side of Beloit). She's also running for a seat on the Beloit City Council.
About Genia
Genia Stevens currently serves as a Rock County Board Supervisor, representing District 17. One of Genia's most significant contributions as a County Board Supervisor is co-drafting the ARPA Small Business Resolution that set aside $5 million in grant funding for any small business in Rock County affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the one-time infusion of cash, any small business in Rock County affected by COVID will receive one-on-one coaching from a dedicated Small Business Development Center Rock County Consultant who works with them to help make their business more resilient and sustainable.
Who is Genia?
Genia moved to Beloit almost 30 years ago after leaving the US Navy and serving in the Gulf War. She’s been a small business owner for over 20 years. During that time, she’s volunteered for 15 years as a business coach, working with small business owners across the state on various aspects of business development and entrepreneurship. She is owner of Belwah Media, founder and executive director of Rock County Jumpstart, and for three years Genia served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Madison College.
Genia lives on the west side of Beloit with her wife, Andrea. She has two grown children and 1 grand daughter.

She's an experienced facilitator who uses her skills to help organizations develop innovative strategies that focus on success through collaborative problem-solving.
Genia believes her professional background as a veteran business owner, her many years of community service, and her skill-set as a professional strategic planner and facilitator makes her uniquely qualified to serve as a Rock County Board Supervisor and Beloit City Council member. As a strategic planner who often navigates organizations and groups through difficult conversations, Genia doesn't shy away from hard conversations. In her role as a Rock County Board Supervisor, she has made herself available to her constituents. If elected to the Beloit City Council, she will be responsive to the people who elect her.
